Aladdin Album Discography
by David Edwards and Mike Callahan
Last update: March 24, 2018

The 10 inch LPs have solid blue labels with silver printing with "Aladdin" in silver in an arc at the top, there are 4 stars on each side in an arc going around to "LONG PLAYING MICROGROOVE" at the bottom. The majority of the 12 inch Aladdin LPs had dark red labels with silver printing, the printing is identical to that described for the blue label 10 inch LPs. A least a few of the 12 inch LPs were also issued with the same blue label used on the 10 inch LPs.

The photo above is of the back of Aladdin LP-808. It has a listing for the forthcoming Aladdin albums from 809 through 813. George Moonoogian stated in a Goldmine article that when he tried to order Aladdin 809 and 810 in 1956, he was told that the albums were "unavailable". That, and the fact that in 40 years of record collecting we have never seen a copy of 809, 810, 811, 812, or 813 ever listed for sale means they were probably unreleased.

LP-809 - Mood Music - Charles Brown [unissued] This album is listed in a discography on the back of earlier Aladdin issues, but was not released on Aladdin; it was issued instead as Score SLP-4011. Drifting Blues/Seven Kisses Mambo/Fools Paradise/Please Don't Drive Me Away/By The Bend Of The River/I'm Saving My Love For You//Nite After Nite/Rising Sun/My Heart Is Mended/Rolling Like A Pebble In The Sand/Evening Shadows/Honeysipper

LP-810 - Rockin' The Boogie - Amos Milburn [unissued] This album is listed in a discography on the back of earlier Aladdin issues, but was not released on Aladdin; it was issued instead as Score SLP-4012. Let's Have A Party/One Scotch/I'm Still A Fool For You/That's What I've Been Thru/Rocky Mountain/Baby Baby//Chicken Shack/Good Good Whiskey/My Happiness Depends On You/All is Well/I Know You Love Me/Trouble In Mind

LP-811 - Lights Out - Ike Carpenter [unissued] This album is listed in a discography on the back of earlier Aladdin issues, but was not released on Aladdin. It was a reissue of the 1952 album on Intro LP-950 with some additional tracks. It was reissued with this expanded track list as Score SLP-4010. Twilight Time/Two Sleepy People/Sleepy Serenade/Sleepy Head/Sleepy Time Gal//When It's Sleepy Time Down South/Lights Out/Pachuko Hop/It Simply Can Be Done/Fiddle Faddle/Miss Little Bit

LP-812 - Singing the Blues - Various Artists [unissued] This album was to contain Billie Holiday, Helen Humes, Patti Anne and others. This album is listed in a discography on the back of earlier Aladdin issues, but was not released.

LP-813 - Party After Hours - Various Artists [unissued] This album was to have featured Amos Milburn, Wynonie Harris, Velma Nelson and "Crown Prince" Waterford. It would probably have contained the songs from the 10-inch "Party After Hours" along with additional material. This album is listed in a discography on the back of earlier Aladdin issues, but was not released.
