Columbia 10-inch Album Discography, Part 2:
Main Series (CL 6100 to CL 6199) 1950- 1952

By Randy Watts, Mike Callahan, David Edwards, and Patrice Eyries
Last update: April 16, 2009

The label used for the CL-6100s was red (dark red to medium red) with gold or silver print. The "COLUMBIA" name was at the top of the label, bending around the edge. There was a thin gold/silver circle concentric with the center hole and about a half-inch in from the label edge. Along the bottom edge it read, "LONG PLAYING MICROGROOVE" with the LP logo between "playing" and "microgroove." At the very bottom of the label, bending around the edge, was fine print which read, "Trade Marks Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Marcas Registradas Made in U.S.A. Pats Pending".
