The first Imperial label was dark blue with silver printing. Imperial was above the center hole. These
labels were used on the 10-inch records before 1956. The second label, which started with the 9000
series started in 1956, was maroon with silver printing, with "IMPERIAL" in block letters above the center
hole. This label was used from LP-9001 at least through LP-9041. The third label was black, with colored
rays fanning out of the center hole to the top quadrant of the label. "IMPERIAL" is in white letters, with
blue, green, yellow and red stars below the logo. This label was used from the mid 9040s through at
least LP-9267. The albums in this part of the discography pre-dated stereo releases.
