Rhino Album Discography, Part 6:
500 & 70500 Series

By Mike Callahan, David Edwards, and Patrice Eyries
Last update: August 18, 2005

The Rhino 500 series started in 1978 as a series of 12" extended play discs. After about a dozen issues (to 70514, with two numbers unused), the remainder of the numbers in the series were used for regular issues. Most of these were in 1991 and a few in 1992, after vinyl was discontinued.
