Time-Life Album Discography, Part 12:
Country Music Series

By Mike Callahan, David Edwards, and Patrice Eyries
Last update: February 20, 2008

These were single disc offerings, in fact budget records with only 8 or 9 tracks on each album, a far cry from the lavish box sets Time-Life had been offering to this point. On the other hand, 1981 was Time-Life's first foray into Country music (hardly their usual "good music" fare), and they also had the box set Country Classics out at about the same time. The label for this series was yellow with brown lettering. There were twenty volumes, and by the number of these that show up in used record stores these days, it was a popular series.
