Seed was Paul Clark's label. It was located in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and distributed by Word to Christian stores and by ABC to secular outlets.

Clark was bork in Kansas City and grew up in the 1960s British Invasion times. He recalls being interested in baseball and music. His father had season tickets to the A's games, and it was in the same stadium that he saw the Beatles during their early tour. He formed a band called the Kommotions.

By 1970, he was finished with his first year of college and living in the Rockies when he had a "mountaintop conversion" experience after reading a book his grandmother sent him. He formed a coffee house in Denver called the Narrow Gate in order to reach street people with his now-Christian music. His songs became part of the early 1970's "Jesus Movement" and he began playing in stadiums.

By the early 1980s, he became discouraged with the direction Contemporary Christian Music was headed, and stopped recording for about five years. He returned to recording in the late 1980s, and has put out albums sporadically since then. By the mid-1990s, Paul Clark had started a new label, Minstrel's Voyage Music, and had made all his Seed albums available on CD through the Paul Clark Website. A new album is due in April, 2001.

Today, Clark lives "back in Kansas" with wife Sharon and his four children.
