The SD-7000 series began in 1969 as a specialty series, but by 1971 had switched to a main series
for Atco issues. The first two albums in this series, issued in 1969, used the purple and brown label.
Later numbers switched to the yellow label described below.
The label for the most albums on the relatively short SD-7000 series was yellow with black printing. The
"ATCO" logo was located to the left side of the center hole. At the bottom of the label is "MFG. BY
ATLANTIC RECORDING CORP., 1841 BROADWAY, NEW YORK, N.Y." This label was used from the
start of the SD-7000 series until late 1973. From late 1973 to late 1975, the address on the bottom of the
label was changed to "75 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, N.Y." From early 1976 to late 1978, the same
label was used with a small Warner Brothers logo inserted at the bottom. Promotional labels were white
with the same graphics in black.
