Columbia Consolidated Series Album Discography, Part 2The catalog prefixes for the Columbia Consolidated Series denoted the labels, with C=Columbia,
E=Epic, F=Fillmore, H=Harmony, L=Columbia Legacy, M=Columbia Masterworks, S=Masterworks
Soundtracks/Original Cast recordings, Y=Columbia Odyssey, and Z=various distributed labels. G was
used to designate a double LP. There was often an additional letter indicating a price code (e.g., KC for
a deluxe priced LP on Columbia) or a number indicating the number of LPs in a set (e.g., M5 for a 5-LP
set on Columbia Masterworks).
Columbia Consolidated issues between 30200 and 30399 were issued between 1970 and 1971.
The Columbia label (far left) was red with black print with the label name in yellow lettering around the edge. Columbia Masterworks (near left) was similar but with a grey background. |
Columbia Odyssey (far left) was also similar, but with an orange background with black lettering around the edge. The Epic label (near left) was yellow with black print, the same label that had been used for Epic releases during most of the 1960s. |
The Harmony label was light brown with black print and a white logo at the top and some small "fine print" in white around the bottom. About midway through this page, seemingly randomly some releases were called "Harmony Headliner Series" with a gold label with black print and a red logo and red "fine print" around the bottom (near left) |
The Barnaby label (far left) was light blue with black (and some gold) print. The Barnaby logo resembling a music clef was at left in brown print on a white background. The Fillmore label (near left) was yellow, with a light yellow at top gradually deepening to orange on the bottom. It had black print and a pink logo with a representation of a suspension bridge in blue. |
The Kinetic label (far left) had brown and silver concentric circles, with black print. The Spindizzy label (near left) was yellow with black print, with the "three-eye musical nite" logo at the top. |
