Bold was a James F. Harris TK subsidiary whose main claim to fame is an early Allman Brothers release. The Allman Brothers, Duane and Gregg, recorded these tracks in Florida under the production of Steve Alaimo, and in fact Alaimo was co-writer. This was about 1968, after the demise of their band Hourglass. These tracks were probably intended to be part of a follow on album to the Vanguard album released by the group "31st of February", with whom the Allmans were jamming. That never happened, and the tracks stuck around nearby Alaimo's TK Records until they set up a label for their release.

There are four known albums on the label (the Allman Brothers album was issued twice, with different covers), and a few, maybe four, singles. Bold 45-200 was "Morning Dew"/"I'll Change for You" by Duane & Gregg Allman. "Morning Dew" was also issued as a mono/stereo red vinyl promotional single. Bold 45-202 was Scottish singer Jesse Rae's first single, "D.E.S.I.R.E."/"Skydiver", which was also issued as a 12" single on Bold B-437. Bold 45-203 was a three-song EP by the Florida garage band the Cichlids, "Lifeguard Dan"//"Tourists Are Pink"/"Bubblegum".

The Bold album label (far left) was black and grey with black and white lettering and "BOLD" written in black lettering on the top half of the label, with a black and white logo. The following text is written in the form of an arc at the bottom of the label: "DISTRIBUTED BY T.K. PRODUCTIONS, INC. 495 S.E. 10th COURT, HIALEAH, FLORIDA 33010". There were only a few singles, which used a similar label. Bold 203 by the Cichlids, a 3-song EP, was issued with a picture sleeve (near left).
