The T 500s were the place where the label name
changed (again!) Back to 20th Century Fox. At about T 547, the change started with the new name on
the record jacket, although the blue label was still used. The new label design was very reminiscent of
the movie logo, and we have called it the "Movie logo" label. Several different fonts seem to have been
used for the printing. This is usually indicative of different pressing plants, who use local printers for the
labels.

T 504 - Richard Cocciante - Richard Cocciante [1976] Riccardo Cocciante (or Richard
Cocciante in France and here) was a hugely popular Italian singer in the 1960s-1980s. Many of these
songs are English-language versions of songs from his Anima album issued in Italy in late 1975.
The translations are fairly literal and for the most part do not rhyme in English (but hey, they often don't
rhyme in Italian, either!), but it gives this album a certain uniqueness. "When Love Has Gone Away"
raced up the US charts for a few weeks, but was a bit too harsh for American audiences, and it died
at #41. Even though he was a huge star in Italy, France, and other European countries, he didn't merit
either an encore single or another LP by 20th Century! Half of the cuts on this album were produced by
Ennio Morricone. The first song on side two of the album, "I Was Waiting for You," was a huge European
hit as "Bella Senz'Anima" [Beautiful Soul], a powerful song of a lover's betrayal that was at least worth a
followup single, but no. Most of the copies of this album ended up in the 39 cent bins. Nevertheless, it's
still one of my favorite albums of the mid-1970s. When Love Has Gone Away (S)/Lucia (S)/Regrets (S)/If
I Were (S)//I Was Waiting For You (S)/Poetry (S)/The Way I Live (S)/Here (S)

begins. A new label, orange with a movie-type logo on top, is used, although the blue "20th Century
Records" label blanks are used for a few more issues until used up. The logo on the record jackets
reverts to the old logo used for the 3000 series. The use of gatefold covers, which was fairly common to
this point, is curtailed, also.
