In the 1970s, United Artists had the UA-LA000 series, which by 1980 had put out over 1000 albums. Somewhere around 1060, the United Artists name was dropped and the series became Liberty. Many older titles still in print on United Artists were reissued on Liberty with the same numbers as the originals on United Artists, though often with new prefixes. Eventually, the 1000 series had a "5" added to the number. later these were reissued under the Liberty imprint. The Liberty label had undergone a complete reworking from the old black-and-rainbow versions of the 1960s. Now they were a trendy multi- shade grey, with the individual letters in the Liberty logo done in different colors from red to green. For convenience, we have started the series with LT-1000 in this discography.
