LARC stands for "Los Angeles Recording Company". It was started by Joe Isgro and distributed by MCA. The label lasted barely a year. Isgro also started the "Private I" label about the same time. LARC was located at 6255 Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

LARC released three LPs and fewer than ten 12-inch disco singles, along with more than a dozen conventional 7-inch singles.

The first LARC label (far left), used for the three LPs and commercial 12-inchers, was red and yellow with black print. It had a photo of a sunset with the sun at the left just under the stylized LARC logo. The second label (near left) was white or light grey with black print. It had the same style as the first logo, but was missing the sunset photo. This label was used for promotional issues.
