The Compose series continues under name Ambassador. Ambassador was a subsidiary of
Synthetic Plastics Company of Newark, New Jersey. Quite a few of these issues are remakes from the
Mercury label.
The Ambassador label was red with black print (far left) from the start (S-98049) in 1968 to S-98075 in 1969. Starting with S-98077 in 1969, the label and logo changed, using the light blue label shown at near left. | ||
Somewhere near S-98100 in 1970, the blue label was modified to add gold logo and lettering as shown at far left. In 1987, a Bill Haley album was issued using a dark blue label with silver print (near left). |
