The Elvis Presley Collection started in 1997 and went for 15 issues, all but the last being 2-CD sets, although relatively skimpy sets with only 30 tracks or so. Each of the 15 volumes had, as the last track, a previously-unissued rarity.

"All the Elvis you've ever wanted!" This was the battle cry for this series, which started in 1997. 1997? Most people had bought all the Elvis they ever wanted years and years before. So why buy them again? Each CD set had one previously unissued ("newly discovered") track, which would certainly cause any Elvis fanatic to buy in... But with almost 500 songs on the 15 unique volumes, that's a lot of Elvis for anyone's taste.
