Royal Flush was a New York-based TK disco subsidiary run by Joe Shepley, Phil Medley,
and producer Buddy Scott. They operated from 1976 to 1978. Their only album was the country-tinged
disco offering Opus de Metropolis by the Big Apple Brass, which was probably a studio group.
The group released a disco single in 1978 on T.K. Disco 104, "Finger-Lickin' Disco"/"My Home" from the
album (it was also released as a 7" single as Royal Flush 105).
Their 7" single series included three singles by Barbara Jean English, "If This Ain't Love"/"If It Feels This
Good" [Royal Flush 101], "House of Strangers"/"If It Feels This Good" [Royal Flush 103], and "Make Up
and Make Love"/"If This Ain't Love" [Royal Flush 104]. Royal Flush 102 was "Lady Fingers"/"A Garden
in the Ghetto" by Tony Middleton. T.K. Disco 12 in 1976 was Barbara Jean English's "House of
Strangers" backed with "Lady Fingers" by Tony Middleton.

The Royal Flush album label (far left) was grey with black lettering and "ROYAL FLUSH" written in black lettering over a RF logo on the top half of the label. There is a narrow vertical red stripe down the left side of the label. The following text is written at the bottom of the label: "DIST. BY T.K. PRODUCTIONS, INC. 495 S.E. 10th COURT, HIALEAH, FLORIDA 33010". The singles label (near left) used the same design. |
