King had a short-lived series of international music during 1960 and 1961. Apparently, Syd Nathan learned from his association with Eli Oberstein in the early 1950s that anonymous orchestras with made- up names could be hired cheaply for a fixed fee. This 1960s experiment lasted about a year.

The mono label for the albums in the International series was quite similar to the regular King label (far left), with the word "INTERNATIONAL" beneath the curved "KING." Promotional copies (near left) were white with black print. There were a very few stereo releases in this series. We presume they had a blue label like the regular stereo releases.
